ii) OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU
Once you have proceeded to checkout, our order process allows you to check and amend your order before submitting it. Once submitted we will confirm acceptance of your order by sending you an emailed order confirmation (sent to the email address you provided when placing your order), and our third party payment processor (WorldPay) will send you an email confirming that your payment has been processed against the card details you have entered on our site. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we deliver the product to you.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS AND PRICES
The Humane Research Trust continually attempts to be as accurate as possible when describing products listed on our webshop, and always tries to ensure prices are correct and up to date at the time of publishing. However, we cannot guarantee that the product descriptions and prices are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. If you receive a product from us that you deem is not as described by us, your sole remedy is to return it in its original packing, in an unused condition. We reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been incorrectly published including prices and promotions.
PRODUCT IMAGES
The images of products shown on our webshop are for illustrative and information purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours, sizes, and shapes of the products accurately, we cannot guarantee that your computers display of the products accurately reflects the actual products, in particular the actual colours. The colours may vary slightly from the image on your screen.
AVAILBILITY
If we are unable to supply you with a product you have ordered, for example, if the product/s is/are out of stock, we will contact you via your preferred contact method to inform you and discuss possible alternatives. If no alternatives can be found, you will be offered a full refund for the product/s, which we will action immediately for all online orders, but it may take our third party payment processor up to 5 days to process from their side.
DELIVERY
Your order will be despatched within 3 working days of us receiving it, unless placed during our Christmas shutdown period, when your order will be despatched once the office has reopened in the new year.
All orders that weigh less than 2kg will be sent via Royal Mail Second Class service. All orders weighing over 2kg will be sent via Hermes courier service.
We calculate the delivery charges based on the total amount spent in anyone transaction, details as follows:
Spend up to £4.00 goods - Delivery will be £1.75
Spend up to £10.00 goods - Delivery will be £3.50
Spend up to £25.00 goods - Delivery will be £4.95
Spend over £25.00 goods - Delivery will be £6.50

RETURNS & REFUNDS
By buying products from our online shop, you are helping the Trust fund scientists to develop new medical research techniques, without the use of animals, for the permanent benefit of people.
If you are not entirely happy with your purchase we are here to help!
Returns
If, in the unlikely event you are not completely happy with your purchase, you have 14 calendar days to return any item you have ordered, from the date you receive it. Your item/s must be returned unused and in their original packaging, complete with a copy of your original order and a letter/copy email explaining the reason for return, to our registered address listed at the beginning of this policy.
Please note we cannot be held responsible for any products that fail to reach us, or for delays in your return reaching our registered office. We encourage any return to be posted back to us via a registered postal service.
We ask that you arrange and pay for the return postage (unless the goods are faulty). Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If goods are faulty you can request a replacement instead of a refund.
Refunds
Once we receive your returned item, it will be checked and we will notify you that it has been received. After inspecting the item, we will contact you regarding the status of your refund. The Humane Research Trust will not refund any damaged, used, or incorrect products. If your return is approved, we will initiate an immediate refund to the credit/debit card used to make the purchase. The time it will take for this to be applied to your debit/credit account will depend on your card issuer’s policies. We regret that any charitable donations added to an order cannot be refunded.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible by calling us on 0161 439 8041 – Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm or email us at [email protected]. If your order has already been despatched, please return it to our contact address listed at the start of this policy, for a full refund of the product cost. Cancelled orders must be returned at your own cost (unless we delivered the item/s to you in error or the item/s is/are damaged or defective). Unfortunately we cannot refund postage charges once despatched.
SECURITY

PAYMENT
We accept all major debit and credit cards. All transactions made via our website/webshop are processed by our third party processor (WorldPay) and as such are subject to security/validation checks and authorisation by the card provider.
UNFORSEEN EVENTS
If we fail to deliver an order, or there is a delay, due to circumstances beyond our control we cannot be held responsible. This does not affect your statutory rights.
CONCLUSION
These terms are governed by English law. Any contract for the purpose of goods from this site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any such contract will be governed by English law.
